Mr Christopher Prance

Chris Prance is the newly appointed Head of Educational Services at the Association of Independent Schools in South Australia (AISSA)

In this role, Chris leads a team of educational consultants that support 105 Independent Schools In SA. In addition, he supports principals in their role, while representing AISSA, where appropriate, at a state and national level.

Prior to this role, Chris has had over 40 years of experience in both the Independent and government sectors, working between states and in both city and country schools.

His teaching experiences have included primary classroom teaching, physical education teaching, work as a peripatetic special education teacher and as a community liaison teacher.

His leadership experiences include positions as a primary school principal, secondary vice principal , head of junior school and, finally, principal of St Peter’s Woodlands for 17 years.

His expertise includes inclusive education, disadvantaged education, strategic leadership, governance and human resource management.

Chris has enjoyed roles including president of the SA Branch of the Independent Primary School Heads, membership of the management Committee of Anglican Schools Australia and chair of the SA Anglican Provincial Education Trust.
