Quality Improvement Plans

18 December 2018

Quality Improvement Plans (QIPs) should be current and in use in all education and care services.

Their purpose is to support quality outcomes for all children by services continually assessing and improving their work. QIPs should be active, evolving documents that reflect current practice, strengths and successes and future areas for improvement. As such, they should always be ready.

Your QIP should be reviewed regularly. It should be available for families, educators and, if requested, the Education Standards Board.

Approved providers must make sure a QIP is developed within three months of service approval.

For more information, see ACECQA's Quality Improvement Plan information.
